We offer notarizing services to individuals, and businesses who require it.

What does a notary public do?

“A Notary Public …serves as an impartial witness to the signing of documents and to the acknowledgement of signatures on documents. A Notary Public may also administer oaths and affirmations.”

Notaries are commissioned for a 5 year period and must  be sworn in by the county clerk and may be renewed once the initial commission has expired.  In general, a person who has been convicted of a crime anywhere in the US cannot be appointed as a notary.

When would I need a notary public?

If you are involved in legal transactions, you will generally be told if you will be in need of notary public services.  You will be told that there is a document that needs to be “notarized.”

Depending on your circumstances, there are many types of documents which may need notarization:

• Articles of incorporation.
• Memorandum of understanding documents.
• Vendor contracts.
• Commercial leases.
• Employment contracts.
• Construction and loan agreements.

As a notary public, we will ask for valid government issued identification, you will sign the documents as indicated, and we will attest to the fact that you have done this with our signature and seal.

Individuals can come to our office or we are able to go to locations as needed.
